From 24 to 26 September 2026, British International School of the University of Łódź will host the annual Conference of the IB World Schools Association in Poland. Owners, heads of school and international programme coordinators from more than 60 schools across the country will meet at the University’s Training and Conference Centre (CSK UŁ) and the historic Biedermann Palace.
The conference is built around discussion and workshops. This year’s sessions will focus on three issues that are shaping education today: supporting students with special educational needs, the introduction of digital examinations, and artificial intelligence in education. The programme is designed to encourage the exchange of experience and good practice between schools.
The guest lecture will be delivered by Dr Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation of Science and Education at the University of Łódź. The programme will also feature presentations by our Year 13 students, who will share the research projects they have completed as part of the Diploma Programme.
The conference is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Rector of the University of Łódź, Prof. Rafał Matera. The event reflects our school’s cooperation with the University of Łódź and offers an opportunity to present Łódź as an important centre of international education.
